The word photography comes from Greek words meaning to write or draw with light.

Portraiture: a word picture of a person's appearance and character. A likeness of a person, especially one showing the face that is created by a painter or photographer.

I create portraiture with my camera. I am able to capture, not just the face, but the true essence of the subject.
