WHY SHOOT IN “RAW” INSTEAD OF “JPEG”?

Shooting “RAW” allows the photographer to maximize the potential for image quality.
Shooting “JPEG” limits the potential for image quality of every photograph that we take.

So what's the benefit of shooting in “RAW”?  You get a higher dynamic range. Your camera can capture a slightly broader range of light from the shadows to the highlights than if you were shooting in “JPEG”. Since the exposure range on digital cameras is so narrow, shooting in “RAW” helps a lot. “JPEG” are compressed images, and because of that, you lose some of the image quality. “RAW” file gives you exactly what the sensor captured so that you can make your own decisions later on how to process the image. “RAW” is like a photographic digital negative that you can process later. With a “JPEG” you are pretty much stuck with what the camera gives you.

I offer processing of your “RAW” files. I am experienced, fast and affordable. I make it easy on you. You mail me a CD or DVD of your “RAW” files. I process them and mail you back a CD or DVD; in about 3 days; of your files saved as JPEG’s  or TIFF’s. I can even rename them for you with whatever name you wish. All this for only $.25 each file + shipping.
